Mardi Gras translates to mean "Fat Tuesday" and, of course, is celebrated on that day of the week. The date can fall between February 3rd and March 9th depending on the Lunar calendar.

The GED (General Education Development) is a battery of tests that are compiled after the main courses taught in traditional high school. There is no official online GED test as you are required to take it in person and in one sitting. The applicant is responsible for contacting the appropriate local GED testing facility and setting a date with the advisor to take the test. The GED test takes up to eight hours to complete and is notoriously more difficult than most applicants assume. Thus, there is a high number of GED applicants who fail their first time.
