The GED (General Education Development) is a battery of tests that are compiled after the main courses taught in traditional high school. There is no official online GED test as you are required to take it in person and in one sitting. The applicant is responsible for contacting the appropriate local GED testing facility and setting a date with the advisor to take the test. The GED test takes up to eight hours to complete and is notoriously more difficult than most applicants assume. Thus, there is a high number of GED applicants who fail their first time. If you are interested in pursuing an online education program that is designed in a more accelerated format, we encourage you to enroll for free in the Honor's High School Program which is a 200-question exam that is based after the most current GED test preparation literature.
