Oregon GED Information

GED Elilgibility in Oregon.

You must be a minimum age of 18, or 16 and 17 years old who meet the following requirements:

1. 16- and 17-year-old examinees who are enrolled in an Oregon School District must be in a district with an approved Oregon GED Option for Selected Secondary Students plan.
2. 16- and 17-year-old examinees that are not enrolled in an Oregon Option school must be exempted from compulsory attendance by a school district in order to take the GED Test.

Oregon residency is not required for GED testing.

Official GED Testing Center will ask you to:
Complete an application process including payment of state and local fees (which varies from $75 to $100).

Transcripts and Duplicate certificates may be requested from the Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development of the State of Oregon. There is a $5.00 fee per document ordered. We do not fax transcripts or certificates. You must request by mail and we will return the transcript or certificate by mail. Allow 7-10 days for processing once we receive the request form.

If you need a GED transcript or GED certificate immediately:
1. You can pick up the GED document in the State Office in Salem, Oregon.
2. You can pay for priority or overnight delivery of the request form and pay the postage for the priority or overnight return through USPS, UPS, FEDX, or other mailing services.

Graduates from either high school program are eligible to order the diploma package which includes verfication services. If you are a graduate of the fast online high school program, you are eligible for one email verification completion. For graduates of the honor's high school diploma course, one email and phone verification is included as a standard with the graduation package. Our updated verification process provides an effective way for employers, schools, organizations and more to confirm a gradaute has passed our program. Our high school advisors work on behalf of the graduates to ensure the appropriate representative receives the information approved to be released by the graduate.
